Ahmet ONCU was born in Istanbul, Turkey. He received the B.S. degree in Physics and the B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, in 2001 and 2002, respectively. He received the M.S. degree in Microwave Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, in 2004. He received the PhD degree in Frontier Sciences from the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 2008. After his PhD graduation, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Tokyo and Hiroshima Universities. In 2010, he returned back to his hometown and joined at Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department Bogazici University in 2010. Currently he is working as an Associate Professor.
His research interests are in designs of Microwave, RF and sensor systems, computation for electromagnetics, and AI applications. He is the founder of Microwave Radar and Communication Laboratory at Bogazici University.
