Project proposed by MiRaCL is decided to be supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey

In the first period of 2019, scientific evaluations of the projects proposed to the Presidency of Research Support Programs (ARDEB) were completed. It was decided to support 271 project proposals out of 2,226 project proposals submitted under the 1001 program. One of the most novel project proposals that is supported belongs to MiRaCL members.

The project is called " Radar Supported Flexible Data Acqusition for Flying Robots ". The main objective of the project is to develop a drone that is flexible enough such that it is not affected by outer conditions and has the autonomous observation and gathering information capability. The project will be different from previous works thanks to its following innovative properties:

-          Processing real-time data that is obtained from drone-radar system and reaching meaningful solutions

-          Using GPS module, multiple cameras and radar at the same system to flexibly continue survey and mapping operations with drone in different environmental conditions and regions

-          Gathering information about target region and making autonomous survey with sensor fusion
